Hawfinch Roost Walk

Service Description

Meeting point: Central New Forest (details will be confirmed upon booking). Duration: 2 hours (4 km) Group size: max of 6 This short walk will take us to a communal Finch roost in the centre of the New Forest and will give the opportunity to see Hawfinch (and other finch species) coming into roost. We will also discuss ongoing fieldwork with this iconic species in the New Forest. Hawfinch go to roost early, we will be back at the car park before dusk to enable guests to return home safely before dark.
