Volunteer with us

We provide opportunities for dedicated volunteers to engage in our wildlife survey and monitoring work, and these are advertised on our blog and via our social media channels. Recent examples include monitoring of breeding Curlews and radio tracking of Hawfinches. Our contact details can be found at the bottom of the page, as well as links to our popular Facebook and Twitter pages.

New Forest Wildlife Camp

We are delighted to confirm that the third New Forest Wildlife Camp will now be held on 22-24 Oct 2021. This event was originally due to be held on 22-24 May 2020 (see flyer below) but was postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions. These wildlife camps, generously sponsored by the Cameron Bespolka Trust (CBT) and delivered by Wild New Forest, are aimed at young wildlife enthusiasts aged between 12 and 17. The 2021 event will be held at the newly renovated Cameron's Cottage at RSPB Franchises Lodge in the north of the New Forest. A total of 16 attendees are provisionally booked, with places offered to those who had previously applied for the 2020 event. It is hoped that further wildlife camps will be offered from spring 2022 onwards.
